A Word From Our Guests
Awesome little cabin!
“Perfect for a couple. Has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Very quiet place in a 6 cabin "neighborhood". There is a small 2 store town about 2 miles away if you need anything. The caretaker, John, is very nice and stopped by on my check in day to make sure everything was ok, super friendly guy that is very knowledgeable about the area and local hiking trails. The cabin has a full kitchen, also has a gas grill outside, plus a large fire pit. Backs right up to a peaceful stream. We saw deer, fox, raccoon, and even a bear. There are tons of great day hikes around the area. It was a great place that we will be returning to. Cabin has WiFi too which is a huge plus because my cell service wasn't working in that area.” -William And Amy Courtney: September 6th, 2016
Everything was just as described and more!
“Everything was just as described and more! Richard the owner kept in constant communication prior to our arrival, provided us with all information need and very helpful suggestions. Johnny the manager was beyond amazing he met us there informed of all the amenities. He even gave my 3 year old a ride on his tractor!! The location is peaceful and beautiful. we spent our days fishing and we even took baths in the creek. At night we would turn on the fire pit. We drove to the beach and store which had really good ice cream literally 3 mins away. The entire experience was what my family and I were looking for and beyond. Already planning on going back with a larger group and for a week!! ” -Michelle: August 9th, 2016
A Perfect Get-away For A Family, Large Or Small In A Woodsy, Streamside Setting
AWESOME PLACE !!! The cabin is located on an excellent area, loved the creek right in front of the property, and my kids loved the playground area, spent the evenings on the swings, which was a great surprise for us because is not included on the description. The property is well maintained and there is plenty of activities to choose from: LOTS of fishes, many places to go for a swim (you can pick from the lake at 10 mins from the cabin, or the river at 20 mins), bike and hike trails, we got to see eagles, turtles, deer, hedgehogs, birds and many more creatures that we ever seen before. The scenic views are AWESOME!! (Either day and night). It is such a good place, that, the stress from the city was gone away on the first day. The owner was very helpful accommodating our stay, despite the short notice on a holiday (4th of July), and the manager of the property was very kind and friendly, always on hand for any need that we may had. Both were really pending of everything since day one (they both called me to give me recommendations and directions for the cabin) IT WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! If you are looking for the perfect getaway on the mountains, this is the place to be, definitely!! I already recommended it to my friends and family.

“This place was located in the Little Pine Creek valley and was very beautiful and isolated. Within a ten minute drive there is great fishing, hiking and bird watching. In addition, there is a good fishing stream 20 steps from the cabin where I caught a number of fish. The host and his manager were great and the lodging comfortable. I'll be back the next time I'm in PA.”

Thank You So Much!
"I just wanted to Thank You!! so much for a wonderful family vacation. The cabin and accommodations were wonderful. So much laughter and a truly enjoyable time. Sometimes it is nice to leave cell phones and everything behind and just be a part of nature. We saw the eagles nest.. baby bear in the back yard.. (my kids named him Barry) mountain pies and 'smores and my son got to go fly fishing for the first time.. Absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you again. This will always be a part of family memories! Couldn't ask for anything more."

A grandfather and grandson were staying at the Trout Cabin during the first week of May of this year (2016). The grandson observed a hatch coming off directly below the cabin's porch. On the second cast his fly disappeared, and after a lengthy struggle, finally netted the 23" rainbow trout shown here. He immediately froze the fish, intending to have his trophy mounted. As a result, this is the only photo available.
